Abstract

Requirements engineering is an important phase of software engineering. The Requirements traceability is an essential activity for requirements management, by enabling a system development team to assess the impact of the changes in the requirements, ensuring the quality of the system. However, nowadays the computational tools that support the software process also need to contain some sort of traceability. This paper will be taken into consideration studies related to the requirements traceability techniques and the requirements traceability means which will be the basis for the implementation of features that allow tracking and managing artifacts generated by the JGOOSE tool. The JGOOSE tool allows, from the i* and BPMN organizational models, to generate UML use cases. Thus, this paper aims to show the implementation that provides support for traceability in the JGOOSE tool, from horizontal and vertical traceability metamodels, generating traceability matrices. This new support will help requirements engineers to assess and make changes appropriately and accurately, maintaining the system’s consistency and their generated documentation
