The twenty-nineth edition of the Workshop on Requirements Engineering (WER 2026), hosted at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and Facultad Regional La Plata in La Plata, Argentina, from August 11th to 13th, 2026, brought together researchers and practitioners from across academia and industry. Over three vibrant days, discussions spanned key themes such as generative AI, transparency, data protection, natural language processing, sustainability, accessibility, technical debt, and security requirements. This year, 30 articles were presented as full papers. Following a thorough review by at least three committee members per submission. The event featured five tracks: Research, Industry, Master's and Doctoral, Software Requirements Tools, and Tutorial.
